LOCATION AND DATES
Where is Dreamforce '11?
Dreamforce '11 takes place at The Moscone Center (North, South, and West buildings) and the adjacent Marriott Marquis and Intercontinental hotels in downtown San Francisco. Learn more about the flagship conference venue at: www.moscone.com
What are the conference dates?
August 30 – September 2. Dreamforce registration check-in begins Monday, August 29 and continues throughout the week. The conference kicks off Tuesday with a full day of activities and content and concludes on Friday with the final breakout sessions.

The registration cost depends on how early you register for Dreamforce—the earlier, the better!

How do I register?
Please register for Dreamforce using the registration form on our website.
I started my registration and didn't finish. How can I complete my registration?
Please access the Dreamforce App and enter your email and password.
I received a priority code. How do I apply it to my registration?
If you have not yet registered for the Dreamforce, begin your registration and follow the wizard; once you reach the "Conference Registration Summary" page, just copy and paste the code into the "Priority Code" field under the Financial Summary section, and click "Add" to recalculate your balance.
If you've already registered, please forward your priority code to our registration team via email at registration@dreamforceSF.com. Please allow up to 48 hours for your request to be processed.
What is the payment policy?
Dreamforce Registration and Housing accepts several methods of payment: Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. Payment must accompany your registration. Registrations without payment will not be processed.
What is the cancellation policy?
All cancellations must be received in writing. Email your cancellation notice to registration@dreamforceSF.com, or fax to +1-650-226-0840.
- Full refund: Cancellation must be received by 12:00 noon (PST) on Friday, July 29, 2011.
- 50% refund: Cancellations received after 12:00 noon (PST) on Friday, July 29, 2011 and before 12:00 noon (PST) on Friday, August 26, 2011.
- No refunds will be given after 12:00 noon (PST) on Friday, August 26, 2011.
Are attendee substitutions permitted?
If you're unable to attend Dreamforce '11, you may transfer your registration to another person by sending an email to registration@dreamforceSF.com with the new attendee's name and contact information by Friday, August 26, 2011. Substitutions will not be granted after this date.
If I cancel my registration, can I transfer my hotel reservation to another attendee?
Hotel reservations made through Dreamforce Registration and Housing are not transferable. The substituting attendee will need to complete his/her hotel reservation through the registration process and submit a new credit card to secure the reservation.
Can I bring a guest?
Guests will not be permitted to attend any Dreamforce breakout sessions. Currently, Global Gala passes are not available for purchase. Please check the Dreamforce website regularly for updates.

Where can I find information on San Francisco?

What is the weather like in San Francisco in August and September?
Although San Francisco is famous for fog, August and September generally bring milder weather. The days hover in the 70's (F). Be sure to dress in layers, though, because the weather can be fickle. Please check www.weather.com before you arrive.
How should I make air travel reservations to San Francisco?
San Francisco International Airport (SFO) is the closest major airport, an easy 25-minute drive from downtown. Alternatively, the Oakland International Airport (OAK) is a 35-minute drive over the Bay Bridge. Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) links to both airports, and the Powell Street BART station is just a few short blocks away from the designated hotels and Moscone Center.
How do I arrange ground transportation?
There are several options for ground transportation between Bay Area airports and downtown San Francisco. Salesforce.com has partnered with ground transportation providers serving local airports to secure discounts for Dreamforce attendees. See below for details.

Are there special hotel rates?
There are discounted rates and special offers for Dreamforce attendees at more than two dozen area hotels. There are several advantages to booking your hotel through us at the same time you register for the conference:

- Guaranteed lowest rates at the official hotels during the conference
- Complimentary Internet access in your room
- No prepayment required; no penalty for cancellation up to 5 days prior to your scheduled arrival date
Please book your hotel through the Dreamforce registration site at the same time that you register for Dreamforce to ensure you receive the special conference rate. There is no fee for booking a discounted hotel room through Dreamforce Registration and Housing.
I've already registered for Dreamforce. How can I add a hotel reservation to my registration or make changes to my existing hotel reservation?
You may reserve a hotel room or make changes to your existing hotel reservation through the Dreamforce App. To access the app, you'll need the username and password you set up when you registered for Dreamforce. Through what date can I book a hotel room with a guaranteed discounted rate?
Due to the proximity of the event we are no longer accepting new hotel reservations through the Dreamforce registration system. If you require a hotel you can check availability and book online, or contact any of our preferred Dreamforce hotels directly beginning August 9. Please note the Dreamforce rates may no longer be available.
What is the hotel room cancellation policy?
If you booked a reservation at the standard conference rate, cancellations must be made no fewer than 5 days prior to arrival. Failure to do so will incur a penalty equal to the cost of one night's room and tax.
If I cancel my registration, can I transfer my hotel reservation to another attendee?
Hotel reservations made through Dreamforce registration are not transferable. The substituting attendee will need to complete a hotel reservation through the registration process and submit a new credit card to secure the reservation.
What if I don't check in on my scheduled arrival date?
If you don't arrive on your scheduled arrival date, the hotel will cancel your entire reservation and can opt not to reinstate your reservation, even if you arrive the next day. You will also be charged the penalty of the cost of one night's room and tax, regardless of whether or not the hotel opts to reinstate your reservation.
Can I book my hotel through Dreamforce Registration and Housing before registering for the conference?
Unfortunately, no. To take advantage of Dreamforce's discounted room rates, you must already be registered for the conference.
Can I make a hotel reservation for a second hotel room for family or friends traveling with me?
Yes, you can make a second hotel reservation for family or friends by contacting the Dreamforce Registration and Housing team (Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. PST) at:

Can I pay the hotel with a different credit card than the one I provided when I reserved the room?
Yes. However if the card used as a guarantee for your hotel reservation is not in your name, that cardholder must be present at check-in, or a faxed credit card authorization form must be set up with the hotel prior to your arrival.
Can I contact the hotel directly to make a hotel reservation at Dreamforce's discounted rates or to change my existing reservation?
No. To obtain Dreamforce's discounted rates, new reservations and changes must be made through Dreamforce Registration and Housing.
Will I receive a hotel confirmation number after booking my hotel through Dreamforce Registration and Housing?
All hotel reservations made through Dreamforce Registration and Housing are confirmed with your unique reference ID. If you would like to obtain a hotel confirmation number, please contact the hotel approximately 1 week prior to the event. A final hotel confirmation will be emailed to you 3 weeks prior to the conference.
Whom do I contact with special requests for my hotel reservation, such as adding my hotel awards program number?

Although hotels do their best to accommodate all special requests, they are not guaranteed. Please note: Non-smoking rooms are guaranteed at 100% smoke-free hotels.
How do I request a room block?
Sub-block requests require a minimum of 15 rooms on peak conference nights. You may request a room block through Dreamforce '11 Registration and Housing by using this sub-block request form and faxing it to +1-650-226-0840. This form is due no later than June 24, 2011.
How I will know that my room block is confirmed?
Dreamforce Registration and Housing will send a sub-block hotel confirmation form via email within 7 business days of receipt of your faxed request. The room block is not guaranteed unless your hotel booking code has been assigned.
My hotel booking code isn't working when I enter it in the appropriate field. How do I fix this problem?
Please go back and check to see if you entered in the correct hotel booking code. If your hotel booking code is still not working, please contact Dreamforce Registration and Housing at registration@dreamforceSF.com to walk you through the process.
How do I request a visa invitation?
You can request a visa invitation letter to assist in obtaining your visa so you can attend Dreamforce. You must register for the conference prior to requesting a visa invitation. Please send an email to registration@dreamforceSF.com and provide the following information:
- First name as listed on passport
- Last name as listed on passport
- Full name as listed on registration
- Country of origin
- Passport number
- Passport expiration date
- Date of birth
- Full address of your local United States embassy/consulate
- Fax number of your local United States embassy/consulate

Dreamforce sessions are organized by tracks based on job role. Each track features detailed breakout sessions in a variety of formats and levels, giving you a chance to meet with salesforce.com product teams, hear from expert users at leading companies, and pick up strategies for handling your most critical business issues. When can I register for sessions?
Registered attendees are able to reserve their spot in individual sessions. This benefit will be available beginning in late July. Registered attendees will receive email notification at this time.
HANDS-ON TRAINING AND CERTIFICATIONS
What is the pre-conference hands-on training?
Want to expand your Salesforce knowledge? Salesforce.com offers additional courses outside Dreamforce to further grow your Salesforce experience. A full list of courses can be found on the Training or Certification page on the Dreamforce website, through the registration process, or in the Dreamforce App.
How do I register for the pre-conference hands-on training and/or a certification exam?
Register for training when you register for Dreamforce. Please note that the pre-conference training is an additional cost to your basic Dreamforce registration. Pricing varies based on courses selected and availability. Payment is due at the time of registration.
I have been wait-listed for a hands-on course. What happens next?
If you wish to attend a pre-conference hands-on training course and were notified the course is at capacity, our registration team will contact you if space becomes available.
Can I sign up for multiple hands-on courses?
Yes. Please note the start and end times of your desired courses because they may overlap or take place at separate locations.
Can I cancel my hands-on course(s) and/or certification exam?
Yes. You can complete cancellations through the or via email to registration@dreamforceSF.com. Cancellations are subject to the standard registration cancellation policy.

What is the recommended attire for the conference?
Business casual attire is suggested for all conference functions. Meeting room temperatures are cool and the San Francisco climate can vary greatly, so we also suggest you wear layered clothing for comfort and flexibility.
Are spouses or children invited to Dreamforce social activities?
Only Dreamforce 2011 registrants are permitted to attend Dreamforce activities. Guest passes are not currently available for purchase
Do I need to wear my badge at Dreamforce?
Yes, you should wear your badge at all times. Your badge is your passport into all official Dreamforce activities. Access will not be granted without a badge. If you lose your badge, you will need to go to Registration and request a new one. Replacement badges will be charged at $150.
