Extend Salesforce CRM with the AppExchange

What is the AppExchange?
The AppExchange is salesforce.com’s one-stop-shop for business applications that you can quickly and easily add to your Salesforce CRM account for added business functionality.  Just like you browse for music on iTunes, you can browse the AppExchange for business applications that plug right into Salesforce CRM.

In this tutorial, we’ll walk through how to search for an app on the AppExchange and install it in Salesforce CRM.

1. Go to the AppExchange Web site
2. Navigating AppExchange – You can search for specific apps using the toolbar on the left-hand side of the page or you can browse by categories.
3. Find the application you want.
4. Click the red Get It Now button on the right side of the page.
5. Choose the Production Environment to install the application.
6. Click OK.
7. Log in to Salesforce CRM – If you are not already logged into your Salesforce CRM application, you’ll be asked to log in.
8. Click the checkbox to Accept Terms & Conditions.
9. Click the red Install button.
10. Enter your Password as another verification.
11. Click Submit.
12. Click Continue after reviewing the different components that are about to be installed.
13. Review all the packages that will be installed and then click Next.
14. Click Install.
